Here are some general care tips that you should employee for general maintanence of your caravan. As with anything always consult a professional if you are unclear.
1. Check your tyres: tyres can develope flat spots when remaining in a fixed position for long periods. Therefore if you are using it after it has been stored always check your tyres carefully. To aviod this occuring you could remove the wheels or raise the off the ground.
2. When in storage it is a good idea to remove your battery (if it has one) as these need to be charged regularly, in addition you should ensure all electrical and gas fittings are switched off.
3. Regularly check your external electrics such as indicators, break lights and any flood lights.
4. Clean your caravan inside and out each time you use it so that it stays in good condition (maintains its value) and improves your enjoyment.
5. Over winter get some window protectors to help keep the frost out of the caravan and occasionally put the heating on for an hour or 2.
6. Have a professional give your caravan an annual service. Our advice is to do this in the winter months when they are less busy.
