There are really 2 types of caravan for you to choose from a static caravan or a touring caravan.
These are caravans that cannot be moved easily and are usually bought with a pitch at a holiday park. They are usually quite large and resemble a bungalow in some instances as they have seperate rooms (Bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom and lounge). They can also be fitted with more homely equiptment such as washing machine and double glazing.
They offer you the flexibility to pack your car up and head to you favourite location, however you cannot take them to new parts of the country if you wanted to so you are restricted in some areas.
These caravans can be hooked up to the back of you car and taken anywhere, you pay per night at holiday parks etc but these are usually pretty cheap.
Although smaller than static vans, they do offer defined living spaces but these may be seperated by curtains rather than walls.
Most modern vans come with all the mod cones, such as central heating, electricity and toilet facilities.
